  • Declutter – Go into each room of your house, close your eyes and open them! If the first things you notice are decor/knickknacks/clutter, it may be time to downsize/declutter! Try to minimalize the items in each room to showcase the amount of space and the way your furniture fits in each room. Contact us for resources for decluttering/downsizing!

  • Deep Clean – Be sure your home is neat and tidy to prepare for showings.

  • Fix Major Defects – Major defects include basement issues, roof issues, mechanical issues, among other things. If at all possible, try to have these items looked at/taken care of before listing.

  • Gather Important Paperwork – This would include the title of your home if you have a copy, trust documents, power of attorney documents, death certificates, and anything else pertinent to the sale.

  • Create a List of Updates/Age of Mechanicals/Home Highlights – These would be selling points of your property, and would help your listing team answer any questions a buyer might have regarding the condition of your home.
